Bernard von NotHaus issued gold and silver coins (Liberty Dollars) that will today bring more in [paper USA] dollars than he charged for them. Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, issued (and continues to issue) paper notes that are today worth but a fraction of the gold or silver they were worth at the time they were issued. One man is facing the possibility of years in prison after a federal jury found his issuing of money to have been a crime. The other man is walking around free and being treated by the authorities with great deference.Do you see the pattern?
GOVERNMENT is NOT BOUND by any rules such as constitutions, laws or moral codes--or "justice".
It will dispose of Individual citizens in any manner it desires.
It will even assassinate Individual citizens whenever it wants, without even a mock trial, claiming "terrorist"--if it even bothers itself to make a claim. Carl von Clausewitz points out in his most famous dictum,
"War is the continuation of politics by other means."
This view is seconded by Mao Zedong, who said,
"The power of the state grows out of the barrel of a gun."
Both men understood the essentially violent nature of the political process, of which war is the ultimate expression.  You cannot "Be all that you can be" when you are dead. As Lysander Spooner said in 1870:
- “But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.”
YOUR choice is: survival, or government.

- The multiple Tyrannies in DC and my state, county and city are much closer to me and have more direct control over my actions, my property and my life, than any real or imagined Islamic threat.
- The article was posted in Sep, 2006. It should be obvious by now [July, 2011] that the enemy is not the muslims, the Iranians, the Mexicans, the Chinese, or any other boogy man that the feds cook up for us. Can anyone still deny that the enemy is right here at home--and that the enemy IS government itself!
