Index to my Articles--Published and unpublished (and those of a few others): Individual vs the StateThreat Assessments from a Sovereign Individual perspective. To their OWN citizens! "The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." Joseph Goebbels How many more men, women, and children have to be slaughtered by your government in the name of your republic before you understand that you aren't represented by that government, your consent doesn't matter to those in power, they have no interest in protecting life, liberty, nor property? All they want is as much as they can steal. You are the fine set of ruebens they steal from. Jim DavidsonFree Bernard von NotHaus! Bernard von NotHaus issued gold and silver coins (Liberty Dollars) that will today bring more in [paper USA] dollars than he charged for them. Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, issued (and continues to issue) paper notes that are today worth but a fraction of the gold or silver they were worth at the time they were issued. One man is facing the possibility of years in prison after a federal jury found his issuing of money to have been a crime. The other man is walking around free and being treated by the authorities with great deference.Do you see the pattern? GOVERNMENT is NOT BOUND by any rules such as constitutions, laws or moral codes--or "justice". It will dispose of Individual citizens in any manner it desires. It will even assassinate Individual citizens whenever it wants, without even a mock trial, claiming "terrorist"--if it even bothers itself to make a claim. Carl von Clausewitz points out in his most famous dictum, "War is the continuation of politics by other means." This view is seconded by Mao Zedong, who said, "The power of the state grows out of the barrel of a gun." Both men understood the essentially violent nature of the political process, of which war is the ultimate expression. You cannot "Be all that you can be" when you are dead. As Lysander Spooner said in 1870:
- “But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.”
YOUR choice is: survival, or government.
“Liberty and Justice for all” ??
The Pledge of Allegiance should have a disclaimer* at the end. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/libertyliberty (plural liberties) 1. The condition of being free from control or restrictions. 2. The condition of being free from imprisonment, slavery or forced labour. 3. The condition of being free to act, believe or express oneself as one chooses. 4. Freedom from excess government control.*Disclaimer: Must be 18 (21 in some states) or older, void where prohibited by law, some restrictions apply, not available in all states. And oh, yes. - The multiple Tyrannies in DC and my state, county and city are much closer to me and have more direct control over my actions, my property and my life, than any real or imagined Islamic threat.
- The article was posted in Sep, 2006. It should be obvious by now [July, 2011] that the enemy is not the muslims, the Iranians, the Mexicans, the Chinese, or any other boogy man that the feds cook up for us. Can anyone still deny that the enemy is right here at home--and that the enemy IS government itself!
On DIGG THIS , Libberkey made one of the nicest comments I have ever received: - “I thoroughly enjoyed this article. It's been a long time, maybe never, since I read an article filled with reason, logic, common sense and nicely-pointed wit. I think you'll find that he makes any and all of his points/arguments nicely, and needs not one bit of help from me. Have fun.”

"Freedom comes from within. It does not come from without. It does not come from a charismatic leader. It does not come with a set of instructions....It does not come from being given your freedom only after you prove yourself to your parents, teachers, pastors, or other authority figures. It does not come from any God who demands obedience before He promises blessings (or threatens curses). It does not come from delineated rights. It does not come from The Constitution. It is you from whom freedom springs. It is you in whom freedom thrives. No one gave it to you. Like Dorothy and her ruby slippers, your way home was with you all the time." ~ B.R. Merrick

http://tinyurl.com/Keep-Nothing-in-Bank[2006-12-24] "Keep nothing in a bank that you cannot afford to lose." Dennis Wilson 2006-12-24Remember Liberty Dollar? How convenient that their gold and silver were all stored in a "secure" warehouse that the USA government could raid. Maybe, like Waco, they did it for the chiiiilden?
Be careful out there! Banks and governments are not the ONLY thieves.- "When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion
- when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."
--Ayn Rand Remember MF Global? Those were "secure", allocated funds that were stolen. The CEO/president--who is a good friend of the USA Vice-president--has NEVER been charged or jailed. Even some libertarian financial advisers got taken in that fraud.
If you "trust" a 3rd party, ANY 3rd party--i.e. if you do not hold it in your hand--you are at risk! If you don't hold it, you don't own it...

http://tinyurl.com/EmmaGoldmanEmma Goldman and the End of the First Libertarian Movement - the interests of the State and those of the individual differ fundamentally and are antagonistic. The State and the political and economic institutions it supports can exist only by fashioning the individual to their particular purpose; training him to respect "law and order;" teaching him obedience, submission and unquestioning faith in the wisdom and justice of government; above all, loyal service and complete self-sacrifice when the State commands it, as in war.

Something REALLY Wicked This Way Comes...As if GOVERNMENT was not threat enough, NOW comes multi-billionaire Bill Gates playing GOD with human lives... While reading the next three articles, keep in mind that--instead of diabolically KILLING other human beings or UNILATERALLY ruining their reproductive genes, their lives and their futures--the money and effort COULD have been spent on many PRODUCTIVE, USEFUL things. Here are a few that come to my mind: - Getting man into space--privately. In space, there is NO "over-population problem"--real or concocted.
- Funding telomeres research to EXTEND human life, instead of shortening it with eugenics.
- Curing cancer and other diseases (eliminating malaria HAS ALREADY BEEN DEMONSTRATED using DDT)
- Electric and hydrogen fueled cars
- Cheap solar panels for individual homes
- Low cost energy beamed from satellites
- Low cost, world wide, wireless energy distribution, such as Tesla demonstrated 100 years ago
- Low cost, world wide, wireless Wifi internet access
- Conversion of Uranium power plants to the much safer THORIUM!
- ...
- Making MS Windows stable!! Hell, Gates cannot even keep computer viruses out of his own product. Why is he mucking around with real viruses?
What has Bill Gates done instead? He has funded fake "research" on malaria that replaces proven DDT solutions with the recorded deaths of more than 800,000 children per year. And NOW he is going to use the mosquitoes that he has saved from DDT to infect the rest of us with his genetic experiments.
Where have we encountered this kind of grotesque thinking before?
Mild mannered Bill Gates really IS a monster!

- The government ban on DDT has caused MORE HUMAN DEATHS since 1970 than ALL the government wars and genocides since the beginning of the 20th Century--and the deaths still continue EVERY DAY! Malaria kills 800,000 children per year, thanks to Government bans on DDT in the 1970s!
[2010-10-01] Bill Gates says vaccines can help reduce world population- So what does it mean when Bill Gates says "if we do a really great job on new vaccines... we could lower [world population] by 10 or 15 percent?" Armed citizens and Nuclear Weapons- On nuclear weapons and the 'well-regulated militia' by Vin Suprynowicz
http://tinyurl.com/THORIUM-energyTHORIUM energy alternative to Nuclear Power + GOVERNMENT meddling to suppress it! What is special about thorium?- "US physicists in the late 1940s explored thorium fuel for power. It has a higher neutron yield than uranium, a better fission rating, longer fuel cycles, and does not require the extra cost of isotope separation. The plans were shelved because thorium does not produce plutonium for bombs."
- Thorium is as abundant as lead, and produces far less radioactive waste than uranium. But development was shunted aside by the FedGov because it could not be used to exterminate its enemies.
- All the impassioned anti-nuclear agitation of the last half century, all the delay and all of the admittedly overstated danger, and all the massive dependence on oil with its potential for conflict in the Middle East, could have been avoided if only the FedGov had not been fixated on weapons of mass destruction. I knew that government had screwed up nukes but I did not know the enormous, wicked extent of the deception.
- By weight, thorium can produce 200 times as much energy as uranium, reactors are cheaper to design and waste, much cheaper to store - even if it is stored; for in thorium reactors, the waste can be regenerated for use as fuel. It is also inherently safer, since its fission reaction has to be primed; absent an external neutron stream, it shuts down automatically.
- India is switching to thorium and China is committed to extensive use of this technology.

- The police officers were exhausted after shifts of 24 hours or more, often without any food or just a cappucino and snack bar, and they had nothing to look forward to but more of the same drudgery after a night spent four to a room in a Youth Hostel.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,* I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" Emma Lazarus, 1883 *Void where prohibited by law, some restrictions apply, not available in all states. "Is not nationalism -- that devotion to … a boundary so fierce it engenders mass murder -- one of the great evils of our time, along with racism, along with religious hatred?" --Howard ZinnMany individuals of our time maintain that we should not abolish immigration control until the immigrants have assimilated into our society. And further, that we should continue to deprive them of liberty until we have (somehow) abolished government welfare. Or that we should not abolish government until we have learned to live together without higher authority.
These positions are worthy of the silly old fool, who resolved to AVOID the water until he had learned to swim. If men are to wait for liberty till they become wise and good in slavery they may indeed wait for ever.

- A large number of people have simply refused to travel to America anymore because entering the country is like trying to get into the old East Germany. This is killing the tourism industry and costing hundreds of millions of dollars each year. A 2006 investigation by the Discover America Partnership found that tourism to America had sunk due to “a climate of fear and frustration that is turning away foreign business and leisure travelers from visiting the United States and damaging America’s image abroad.” No less than a third of tourists vowed never to return to America after experiencing the treatment of Homeland Security officials at ports of entry. By early 2007, the U.S. had lost around 60 million visitors as a result of the stifling and intrusive security measures implemented since 9/11.

They seem to me (again only my guess, YMMV) to be Rambo wannabes looking for unarmed big game under the thin guise of protecting privately owned rangeland and open deserts. And they probably want government funding to do it!"
Sadly and once again, I get to say "I told you so". THIS time two "Minutemen" coldly murdered a 9 year old girl, Brisenia Flores, and her father!!! Where is the outrage?http://tinyurl.com/Killer-Minutemen [2006-09-10] “More arguments for Open Borders—this time (unbeknownst to him) from the pen of Hans-Hermann Hoppe!”[2006-09-03] “Will the REAL Lady of Liberty please raise a Lighted Torch?” [2006-10-01] Lady Liberty response to “…please raise a Lighted Torch” [2007-04-08.1] Immigration Letters from Jim Davidson, Dennis Wilson, with Replies from Rex May and Jim Davidson [2007-04-15] L. Neil Smith responds: Immigration and Integrity - "Recent exchanges here in the virtual pages of The Libertarian Enterprise have made it necessary for me to engage, once again, on a topic that I would really rather let others handle whenever possible. There's nothing I hate like repeating myself, so pay atttention this time.
- "The topic is "illegal" immigration. I dislike dealing with it primarily because the very necessity to do so challenges my otherwise optimistic view of my fellow human beings. The rational position on this issue should be obvious—open and shut—to anyone calling him- or herself a libertarian, and the fact that it isn't depresses me".
"An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is, in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed." - U.S. Supreme Court, Norton v. Shelby County, 118 US 425 (1886)"Do we live in a republic where the Constitution, which has a fixed and knowable meaning, is the supreme law of the land? Or do we live in a judicial oligarchy where we are governed by case law, which changes from decade to decade according to the shifting opinions of nine unelected, unaccountable judges?" Derek J. Sheriff“We’re a nation of laws. A nation without laws is like a house without walls. What’s going to happen? It’s going to come crashing down." The ironic statement of Arizona governor Jan Brewer regarding her intention to enforce UN-constitutional Federal "laws".Today, the US claims the legal right to indefinitely detain its citizens; the president can order the assassination of a citizen without so much as even a hearing; the government can spy on its citizens without a court order; and its officials are immune from prosecution for war crimes.
Is this the rule of law of which you speak? The ONLY things that are "illegal" about immigration and drugs are the Federal government "laws", rules, regulations and actions! http://tinyurl.com/ILLEGAL-LAWS[2007-06-10] "Immigration control is UN-Constitutional!" (And so is Drug control!)- REALLY! Its TRUE! The US Constitution does NOT AUTHORIZE immigration control!
- P.S., that goes for EXIT control & DRUG control also!!
- "An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is, in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed." - U.S. Supreme Court, Norton v. Shelby County, 118 US 425 (1886)
- Not until 1891 did federal law provide for the inspection of immigrants arriving at land border ports. Under the 1891 law, the Federal Government assumed the task of inspecting, admitting, rejecting, and processing all immigrants seeking admission to the United States. Enforcing immigration law was a new Federal function, and the 1890s witnessed the Immigration Service's first attempts to implement national immigration policy.
Regarding what I said about EXIT CONTROL...:http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/106171.html'If We Cannot Track You With Our Microchips, You Cannot Leave' — or, Why Ron Paul Is Right Again About 'Border Control'Posted by Daniel McAdams on February 22, 2012 05:22 PM When Ron Paul said in a debate last September that the border fences may well be built to keep Americans in rather than keep illegals out, the usual brain-dead, mainstream media-addicted sheep " laughed out loud" at this, the "apex of Paul’s paranoid band of libertarianism." Fast forward to this incredible story today of a family who had their trip to Belize ruined because the father's passport had a slight crease on the back cover after it had inadvertently been sat on. The family had no problems in their native Denver, but as soon as they got to Dallas an airline official (read: government agent) decided that the passport was "mutilated" and ruined their trip for them. What is most remarkable about the story is the interview with Ray Priest, owner of International Passport Visas in Denver, who speculated that the rejection may stem from possible damage to the microchip embedded in every American's passport. Spoke Mr. Priest (who seems suspiciously unbothered — a good little totalitarian? — by the whole thing): - “To have a passport is privilege, it’s not entitled to you by citizenship.... They have no reason in the world to let you travel if it’s been damaged.... It’s like cutting your photo out or something if that chip doesn’t work.... This is done for national security...they can’t make an exception, period.” (emphasis added)
Another Lost Freedom: The Freedom To Move- If you don’t pay up, you’re stuck. This is not an exaggeration. Try crossing the border without a passport. Watch what happens. You will not be allowed out. Let me repeat: You will not be allowed out! Resist, and you’ll be thrown in a cage. Resist well, and you might be shot. The only way you are getting out is by paying up. And only when you’re done paying can you purchase your government-inflated airline ticket.
- This article contains a good history of the growth of government passport usage.

- It is NOT the duty (PRIMARY or otherwise) of the Federal government to control immigration OR drugs!

- AND it is additionally stupid of Arizona politicians (there I go again) to INCREASE PROHIBITIONS instead of learning ANYTHING from history* about how REPEAL of alcohol prohibition solved the very same problems we are now experiencing because of UN-constitutional--and therefore ILLEGAL--Federal drug and travel prohibitions.

[2012-02-28] Immigrants, 'Legal' or Otherwise, Are Not 'Invaders'Posted by Becky Akers on February 28, 2012 09:26 AM Prof. Rozeff, thanks for defining “invasion.” An awful lot of folks wander around out there without the least idea of what the word means; I know because I hear from them each time I note that the Constitution never empowers Our Rulers to control our movements — or those of anyone else, even the dreaded Mexican who wants to pick our fruit and clean our toilets — into or out of the country. They tell me, often in ALL CAPS with vulgar terminology, that Leviathan is supposed to “repel invasions.” I’m continually baffled that anyone could mistake a desperate family hoping to find a better life through hard work and sacrifice for soldiers trespassing to murder, rape, and plunder; perhaps your clarification of the word as “an instance of invading a country or region with an armed force" will resolve the confusion. Index to my Articles--Published and unpublished (and articles from a few others): Note: IP = "Intellectual Property" “Do you really think you own what is in my mind?”- This article concludes with the same point I was making when I started this IP discussion forum:
- "The energy being expended in debating intellectual property would be better used in exploring methods by which the free market could protect the just rewards of intellectual products."
[2010-08-05] Libertarians, Anarchists and Signatories still use government.- “working copy”--extensive but unfinished

- Why should *I* be forced to pay to enforce THEIR IP claims?
If You Believe in IP, How Do You Teach Others?- The goal of the university is to spread knowledge, not to grant a one-time use for what you learn in the classroom. The aim of an individual student is to gain knowledge that is used in every possible way for a lifetime — and to pass the ideas on to others.
- Perhaps this explains why the Objectivist movement--which is "tightly controlled" by Leonard Peikoff and the Ayn Rand Institute--seems to be stalled instead of spreading like Ayn Rand's books.
"Napsterama" by L. Neil Smith - The "younger" Neil Smith in 2001 was definitely more "libertarian" than the "older" Neil Smith in 2010!

[2012-03-19] The Pirate Bay Claims It's Going To Host The Site Via Drones Flying Over International Waters- One of the more amazing things about the recent moves by the entertainment industry to put in place stricter laws around the globe to attack file sharing, is that they still don't realize how pointless this is compared to the only real solution, which is to offer more of what consumers actually want, rather than trying to force them into some old way of doing business. For every "victory" the industry declares, we see more and more evidence that the file sharing just moves further away from what the industry can control (and keeps growing).
- The MPAA and RIAA are fighting a losing battle. Their (literally) last century business model is done for. But rather than embrace change and new revenue streams, they twitch and kick like the dying body that they are. When the dust settles, they're going to find themselves holding a big bag of crap as their previous consumer base moves on to legitimate online entertainment that wants no part of their repressive antics.
[2012-05-21] Boycott the music "industry"!
